It's the time of year when independent schools through the United States contribute new data to NAIS DASL, the industry's most comprehensive data and benchmarking system. Join the more than 1,800 independent schools that enter their data into DASL every year. Data from DASL also populates more than 47 association reports and resources, including NBOA BIIS, CASE Insights, many accreditation and annual reports for state and regional associations. This year, EMA and NAIS have partnered to populate many of EMA's data-rich tools with the data you enter in DASL as well.

- August 11: DASL Data Entry opens to schools. This includes both parts, DASL Foundation Data (such as salaries, advancement, enrollment, etc.) and DASL|BIIS Financial Operations Data (such as balance sheets, revenues, expenses, etc.).
- October 17 at 4:00 PM ET: DASL Foundation Data Entry closed for scrubbing.
- November 19: DASL Foundation Data scrubbed and ready for reporting.
- December 5 at 4:00 PM ET: DASL|BIIS Financial Operations Data Entry closed for scrubbing.
New in 2025-2026! Data Entry Workshops Online
NAIS is excited to pilot online sessions during which schools can enter their data and get their questions answered in real time. Each session focuses on a particular topic, led by experts in that area of school leadership.The sessions are scheduled as follows:
- August 20: Advancement Data Entry Workshop with NAIS and CASE (WATCH RECORDING)
- September 17, 1:00-2:30 PM ET: Employee and Board Information Entry Workshop with NAIS
- October 22, 1:00-2:30 PM ET: Financial Operations Entry Workshop with NAIS and NBOA
- October 29, 1:00-2:30 PM ET: Scrubbing Foundation Data Workshop with NAIS
